Based on the play by Cormac McCarthy, The Sunset Limited is an analysis at the interactions of two nameless characters referred to only by their skin colour, fundamentally different in most ways. After "Black" (Samuel L. Jackson) saves "White" (Tommy Lee Jones) from throwing himself in front of a train, they head back to Black's apartment and compare and debate their different outlooks on life.
