The House I Live In focuses on exploring the risk prohibition poses to freedom, and the idea that addicts are being treated as criminals. Since the War on Drugs began, more then 45 million addicts have been arrested and imprisoned. As time progresses, American prisons are growing crowded with non-violent criminals, and drugs are continuing to be sold. Director Eugene Jarecki examines just how things went wrong, and proposes a solution that may solve the problem.
