Matt Vita is a Brooklyn, NY & VT-based comedian with well over a decade of standup, improv, and acting experience. He has opened for national headliners Colin Quinn, Kevin McDonald, and Steve Hofstetter, and has appeared opposite Queen Latifa in the CBS drama series The Equalizer.
He has headlined City Winery Boston, featured at People's Comedy Fest in NY, and is an 11-year veteran of the NYC Improv community as a former house team member of The PIT and a professional improv coach/workshop facilitator.
He is proud to have performed at the last-ever Del Close Marathon (DCM), previously the biggest improv fest in NYC.On stage, Matt is known for his relatable observations, zany energy, sharp improvisational skills, and ability to connect with diverse crowds.
He is an award-winning freestyle rapper, sometimes incorporating that into his sets, and has shared the stage with hip-hop legends such as Rahzel (of The Roots), and has received positive reviews from legends like Questlove and Cappadonna.
Matt has a proven track record of producing and performing at comedy events from his work as co-founder of both the Vermont Comedy Festival and Vermont Film Festival, with past headliners like Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, Joe List, and upcoming in Dec 2025 Judy Gold.
He regularly features and headlines shows all over the northeast and some of the midwest, and maintains a large network of comedy talent with credits from Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, HBO, and more.
This November, he'll be supporting TikTok comedy sensation Heather Shaw at Empire Comedy Club in Portland, ME, and in December, he looks forward to co-hosting the 4th annual Vermont Comedy Festival with fellow comedian Colleen Doyle.
He also maintains a 2025/26 residency at Sugarbush Ski Resort in Vermont and regularly performs at the New York Comedy Club (NYCC) locations in NYC, Stamford, and Atlantic City, and Speakeasy Long Beach.
