Born: March 19, 1980
Theo Von was born in Covington, Louisiana. His father was 67 at the time of his birth and passed away from cancer in 1996, when Theo was 16. He grew up in Covington with his older brother and two younger sisters, and was legally emancipated at age 14.
At 19, Theo appeared on MTV’s Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour (2000). He auditioned at an open casting call for The Real World held at a bar while studying at Louisiana State University. During his time on the show, Theo faced controversy for his unconventional opinions and humor.
He continued working in reality television, appearing in Battle of the Seasons (2002), The Gauntlet (2003–2004), Battle of the Sexes II (2004–2005), and Fresh Meat (2006).
At age 23, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. He initially struggled and felt that his background in reality television may have affected how his comedic work was perceived.
Since 2016, Theo has hosted the podcast This Past Weekend, which developed a large fan base and achieved significant success. The podcast features interviews with a wide range of guests, including celebrities, athletes, and political figures.
He played Garvey in the movie Sweet Dreams (2024) alongside Jay Mohr and Johnny Knoxville. In 2026, he appeared in the comedy film Busboys, which he co-wrote and co-starred in with David Spade.
