Wuthering Heights takes top spot at weekend box office

Three new movies debuted at the top of the box office this long weekend. Find out which movies were the most popular with moviegoers.

Wuthering Heights starring Jacob Elordi as Heathcliffe and Margot Robbie as Catherine debuted at No. 1 at the weekend box office, taking in $34.8 million.

The animated film GOAT about a small goat with big athletic dreams debuted in second place, earning $26 million.

Crime 101 starring Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth debuted in the third spot, taking in $15.1 million.

The comedy thriller Send Help starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien, which enjoyed two weekends at the top, dropped to fourth with $8.9 million for a three-week total of $47.9 million.

Rounding out the top five was was the romantic comedy Solo Mio, starring Kevin James as a man who goes on his honeymoon alone. It took in another $6.4 million for a two-week total of $16.9  million.
