After a heated battle, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts pulled ahead to win the top spot at the weekend box office, debuting in first place with $60.5 million.
Last weekend's champ, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse settled for second place. The animated film continued to impress with additional earnings of $55.4 million for a two-week total of $225.4 million. Click here to read our review.
The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey as Ariel dropped a spot to third, earning an additional $22.8 million for a three-week total domestic take of $228.8 million.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 held onto fourth place, taking in an extra $7 million for a six-week total of $335.4 million. Click here to read our review.
