Although the Academy Awards have been held without a host for the past few years, three hosts will have been named for the 94th Academy Awards, which will be held on March 27, 2022.
It was announced today by the show's producer Will Packer that Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall will host the ceremony, which will have celebrities attending this year now that COVID measures have been loosened.
“We want people to get ready to have a good time. It’s been a while,” said Sykes, Schumer and Hall in a press release from the Academy.
“This year’s show is all about uniting movie lovers. It’s apropos that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles,” added Packer. “I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well. Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!”
The Oscars will air live on ABC and CTV, as well as other broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
