Critics and fans alike loved Superman starring David Corenswet. It claimed the top spot at the box office this weekend, taking in an impressive $122 million in the first weekend of its release.

Jurassic World Rebirth starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey stomped into second place, pulling in $40 million for a two-week total of $232.1 million.

F1: The Movie starring Brad Pitt as a FORMULA 1 racer slid to third place this weekend, earning another $13 million for a two-week total of $136.1 million.

How to Train Your Dragon starring Mason Thames as Hiccup and Gerard Butler as Chief Stoick the Vast dropped to fourth, taking in another $7.8 million for an impressive four-week total of $239.8 million.

Rounding out the top five was Disney and Pixar's newest animated film, Elio. About an 11-year-old boy with an active imagination, it added another $3.9 million for a four-week total of $63.6 million.
