Send Help starring Rachel McAdams tops weekend box office

Box office results January 31 2026The new comedy thriller Send Help was a welcome addition in theaters. Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, it debuted with $20 million in its first weekend.

Another new movie, Iron Lung, set in a post-apocalyptic future, debuted in second place, with a tidy amount of $17.9 million.

Melania, a documentary about Trump's second run for the presidency featuring the role Melania Trump played in it, took in the modest sum of $7 million.

Zootopia 2, featuring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, dropped a spot to fourth. An Oscar contender in the Best Animated Picture category, it earned an extra $5.8 million for an incredible 10-week total of $409 million.

Ginnifer Goodwin reveals how Zootopia 2 came about, nine years after the original. She discusses the new characters, including the beaver Nibbles Maplestick and a koala voiced by Robert Irwin. She also reveals what she thought was the coolest thing about having the cast meet in person.

Rounding out the top five was the new action/thriller Shelter starring Jason Statham, which debuted with $5.5 million.
