Nicole Kidman is moving to Portugal after her split from Keith Urban to spend her first winter in years as a single mother with her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. She has reportedly applied for Portuguese residency and is considering a luxury property at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, located near Comporta, sometimes referred to as the "Hamptons of Portugal."
Several A-listers already own properties there, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who paid $4.7 million for a beachside home in the complex last year. George Clooney, Paris Hilton, and Princess Eugenie also own homes in the Comporta resort.
Nicole applied solo residency on her own -- Keith Urban was not listed on any of the paperwork and was absent when Nicole flew to Portugal in July for the mandatory in-person application process. According to reports, the couple had been unhappy for a while, with the media speculating that Keith had been cheating on Nicole when he changed the lyrics to the song he wrote for her, "The Fighter," while performing onstage with his guitarist, Maggie Baugh. He sang, "Maggie, I'll be your guitar player" instead of "Baby, I'll be the fighter."
The move will allow Nicole to spend time with her daughters without the paparazzi and media commenting on her every move. What do you think about the choice she's making? Share your thoughts in the comments below. ~Alexandra Heilbron
