The numbers are in for this weekend's top five movies at the box office and the long-awaited Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One starring Tom Cruise debuted at the top with $56.2 million over the weekend and a total of $80 million since it opened on Wednesday. Sound of Freedom starring Jim Caviezel climbed up a spot to second place, earning an additional $27 million over the weekend for a total of $85.5 million.
The horror sequel Insidious: The Red Door starring Patrick Wilson dropped two spots, taking in an extra $13 million for a two-week total of $58 million.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny starring Harrison Ford also dropped two spots, landing in fourth place. It earned an additional $12 million for a three-week total of $145.4 million.
Rounding out the top five was animated film Elemental, taking in an additional $8.7 million for a five-week total of $125.3 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
