Despite the release of the new Disney/Pixar movie Lightyear, last weekend's box office champ, Jurassic World Dominion, continued its reign at the top of the North American box office. The star-studded movie took in an additional $58.7 million for a two-week total $249.8 million.
The animated film Lightyear, starring the voice of Chris Evans in the role of Buzz Lightyear, debuted in second place, taking in a less-than-expected $51 million.
Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise fell from second to third place, earning another $44 million for a four-week total of $466.2 million.
The Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch also fell one spot to fourth place, taking in $4.2 million for an seven-week total of $405.1 million.
Holding steady and rounding out the top five, the animated film The Bob's Burgers Movie earned $1.1 million in its fourth weekend in theaters. The film now has a total of $29.8 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
