Jamie Foxx and Deidra on InstagramJust 10 days after his initial return to social media following his hospitalization in April for concealed reasons, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to credit his sister with saving his life.

In a carousel post displaying pictures of his sister Deidra Dixon, Jamie wrote "Happy birthday to my beautiful sister @frequency11 'D'...you are magical, you are beautiful, you are the courageous lionesses #leoseason. And without you, I would not be here...had you not made the decisions that you made I would've lost my life...I love you forever and ever, happy birthday sis."

Their younger sister, Deondra Dixon, died in October 2020 at 36 years old.

The gratitude Jamie  has for his sister's efforts during this difficult time has been clear, mentioning her previously in his first appearance back. "To be honest with you, my sister Deidra Dixon, my daughter Corinne Marie saved my life," Jamie said in a video posted to his 16.7 million Instagram followers.

The family bond within the Foxx family has been stronger than ever throughout this time as they cared for him while keeping all the information of his situation undisclosed, per his request. In the same video, Jamie said, "I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in such a way, and you all know they kept it airtight, they didn't let nothing out, they protected me — and that's what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these."

Although Jamie, 55, has not revealed the details of his illness, he has explained his reason for this to the media by saying, "I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show. I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through... But I'm coming back, and I am able to work."

The Oscar winner's current film They Cloned Tyrone (2023) is now streaming on Netflix. ~Ireland Fidale

Hello Jamie! I am Billie TaylorSmith from Farmersville, Texas! I am so glad you are doing better. GOD answer prayers. As the scripture says it best “The prayers of the righteous availeth much”. I dated a guy from Terrell Texas….Lloyd Neroes back in the day. He was satisfied with one woman so I had to kick him to the curb. You take care of yourselves. So glad you are doing much better. GOD is a healer!!!! GOD bless you!!!??

Probably a bad drug OD. He wouldn't want his fans or followers thinking any less of him in those circumstances.

The word is Jaime had to get vaccinated ( boosted) to work on a recent movie. I wish people would realize that there is a possibility anyone can have injuries from them and it is happening world wide all the time. He is a big star so the powers that be might want to keep him silent about it.

Anyone think maybe it's none of our business? Can we all just row our own boats?

I am happy he is healthy. But life isn't just just about a few laughs and jokes and being the funnyman. Jamie, it's OK to be human like the rest of us. And it's also OK to get older like the rest of us. It just takes a little adjusting. When we're in our 50s and 60s, we just have to keep that in mind...that we're not in our 20s and 30s anymore. And it's just different and it's still wonderful!

Dear Jamie, I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. I love your movies and all the different characters you’ve played. The most important role you could ever have is, yourself. Staying true to yourself and your beliefs and your family. You will always have fans. The real ones will stay true to you and not demand an explanation of what was wrong with you. That is your business and not anyone else’s. Stay true. Stay real. Keep the faith. And most important, trust in God and our savior Jesus Christ. Through them you will prevail. Love, your loyal fan.

Non-elected public figures do not owe it to us to disclose health issues. Everybody should be glad he is OK and then MYOB>
