The news was confirmed on July 24, 2025, with reports stating that Hogan passed away due to cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 9:50 a.m., but Hogan was pronounced dead at the hospital. Just months prior to his passing, Hogan had undergone neck surgery and was reportedly recovering, though rumors about his health were circulating in the weeks leading up to his death.

Born Terry Gene Bollea on August 11, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, Hulk Hogan rose to fame in the 1980s as a charismatic and larger-than-life, literally and figuratively, professional wrestler. His immense popularity helped catapult WWE (then WWF) into mainstream success, making him a household name worldwide. Hogan’s trademark wrestling moves and catchphrases became cultural staples.

Hogan was a six-time WWF Champion and six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, headlining multiple WrestleMania events and becoming the poster boy for professional wrestling’s boom era.
