The champion for the past three weekends, Disney's Lilo & Stitch, dropped to second place, taking in an extra $15.5 million for an impressive four-week total of $366.4 million.
Materialists starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans opened in third place, with earnings of $12 million in its first weekend at the box office.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning starring Tom Cruise dropped a spot to fourth place, adding an additional $10.3 million to its four-week haul for a total of $166.3 million. Click here to read our review.
Rounding out the top five was Ballerina starring Ana de Armas as a ballerina-turned-assassin, earning $9.4 million for a two-week total of $41.8 million.
