Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story starring Archie Madekwe as an aspiring teenage race car driver debuted at the top of the weekend box office with $17.3 million.
Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, held onto second again this weekend, earning an additional $17.1 million for a domestic six-week total of $594.8 million.
Blue Beetle, starring Cobra Kai's Xolo Maridueña, dropped two spots to third. The film, based on the DC superhero comics character Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle, took in an extra $12.8 million for a two-week total of $46.3 million.
Winding up in fourth was Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy, earning another $9 million for a six-week total of $300 million.
Rounding out the top five was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which took in $6.1 million for a four-week total of $98.1 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
