Golden Globe host names Hollywood star she can't make fun of

Nikki Glaser will be hosting the Golden Globes this Sunday for the second year in a row. She revealed some of what she's been preparing for the big night, and admitted there's one Hollywood A-lister she wouldn't dare make fun of during the presentation.

During an appearance on CBS mornings yesterday, she admitted, "I'm trying out my monologue around LA at the clubs here and just even any joke about Julia Roberts, they are not there for. You cannot make fun of America's sweetheart. Whatever I end up saying about her, that is the most fine-tuned joke that I've worked on so hard, because it is very delicate."

Not only did the audiences not appreciate the joke, they booed. Nikki admitted, "I mean, they were booing, and I was like, ‘Is she here?’ It's insane."

Nikki had reached out to several celebrities before mocking them at the ceremony last year, so host Gayle King asked if there were any that she'd contact this year for approval.

Nikki answered with a laugh, "Not yet, but I was wondering if anyone there had Sean Penn's number because I would like to get his approval." She also mentioned that she wanted to text Leonardo DiCaprio, but added, "I don't even know if Leo has a phone."

She explained her strategy for writing jokes for the show. "You have to be very delicate about making jokes that aren't going to ruin anyone's night, but you also want to give the people at home something to laugh at, and you want to poke fun at the people that they're dying for you to make fun of. Like people at home want you to make fun of the A-listers."
