In the 1920s-set Harry Potter prequel, Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne plays Newt Scamander, a quirky wizard who crosses the pond and arrives at the Magical Congress of the United States. He hits the shores of New York City, and shortly after, the magical beasts he brought with him escape.
The full (and final) trailer for the film debuted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and aside from Eddie and the imaginative creatures, it features Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Ezra Miller and Samantha Morton.
The teaser trailer for the film was released this past summer at San Diego Comic-Con and sparked a storm of widespread pandemonium.
David Yates, who directed four Harry Potter films, also helms Fantastic Beasts. Written by wizarding queen J.K. Rowling, the film launches into theaters November 18, 2016.
Fantastic Beasts is the first film in what will be a trilogy of movies about Newt.

I usually can't stand prequels and sequels and reboots and remakes, but I'm kinda digging this...
Can't wait for this! Do you think Jon Voight is one of the beasts? He kinda looks like one.
Yet more deus ex machina heavy wizard crap from hack writer Rowling. A must-miss if there ever was one.
