Den of Thieves 2: Pantera took the top spot at the box office this weekend. The sequel to 2018's Den of Thieves opened in 3,008 locations and grossed $15.5 million.
Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King continued to hold strong in its fourth weekend as it came in second place. The film fell 44 per cent and brought in another $13.2 million. Its domestic total currently sits at $188.8 million.
In third place was Sonic the Hedgehog 3, also in its fourth weekend. The film grossed $11 million, which was a 48 percent drop and has currently garnered $204.5 million domestically.
The Robert Eggers horror film Nosferatu came in fourth place. The film earned another $6.8 million in its third weekend, a 48 percent drop. The film has now grossed $81.8 million domestically, which makes it the highest grossing film of Eggers' career.
Another Disney film rounds out the top five as Moana 2 sticks around in its seventh week. The animated sequel starring Auli'i Cravalho dropped 48 percent over the weekend, adding another $6.5 million to its domestic haul which currently sits at $434.9 million.
