Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman climbed back up to the top spot in their fifth weekend at the box office, earning another $18.3 million for a total take of $577.2 million.
Alien: Romulus, which takes place after the events in the 1979 film Alien, dropped a spot from its first place finish in its first weekend to wind up in second with an additional $16.4 million for a two-week take of $72.8 million.
It Ends with Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni held onto third in its third weekend. Based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, the romantic drama made an extra $11.6 million for a total of $120.6 million. Click here to read our review.
Blink Twice starring Channing Tatum as a tech billionaire with a private island and sinister intentions debuted in fourth place, earning $7.3 million.
Rounding out the top five was the new film The Forge, about a teenager who struggles to make his way in the world. It took in $6.7 million.
