Black Adam three-peats at top of weekend box office

With no new major films releasing this weekend, Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson easily took the top spot at the box office again. Earning an additional $18.5 million, the DCEU film has a three-week total of $137.4 million. With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releasing on November 11, Black Adam will face more competition next weekend.

The Japanese anime film One Piece Film: Red debuted in second place this weekend, earning $9.5 million.

Ticket to Paradise starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts dropped one spot to third place, taking in an additional $8.5 million for a three-week total of $46.7 million.

The horror movie Smile held onto fourth for another weekend. It earned an even $4 million in its sixth weekend for a total of $99.1 million.

Rounding out the top five was another horror film, Prey for the Devil. It took in an extra $3.9 million for a two-week total of $13.6 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron
