Avatar: Fire and Ash tops weekend box office for the fourth time in a rowAvatar: Fire and Ash remained at the top of the box office for the fourth weekend in a row, taking in an extra $21.3 million for a total of $342.6 million.



Primate, the horror film about a chimpanzee that goes ape, debuted in second place. Starring deaf actor Troy Kotsur and an animatronic chimp, it took in a modest $11.3 million.



The intriguing thriller The Housemaid starring Sydney Sweeney is gaining momentum through word of mouth. This clever movie with a huge plot twist is based on the bestselling book by Freida McFadden -- and has already been given the greenlight for a sequel. Hanging on to third place in its fourth weekend at the box office, it took in an additional $11.2 million for a total of $94.2 million.




Zootopia 2, featuring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, moved to fourth place, earning an extra $10.1 million for a seven-week total of $378.8 million.




Ginnifer Goodwin reveals how Zootopia 2 came about, nine years after the original. She discusses the new characters, including the beaver Nibbles Maplestick and a koala voiced by Robert Irwin. She also reveals what she thought was the coolest thing about having the cast meet in person.



Rounding out the top five was the new action film Greenland 2: Migration, starring Gerard Butler, which debuted with $8.5 million.
