To close out the last week of August, Angel Has Fallen topped the box office chart for the second weekend in a row. The third movie in the Fallen trilogy earned an additional $11.6 million for a total of $40.7 million.
Good Boys kept up the laughs, landing in the number two spot yet again. The raunchy comedy gained an additional $9.2 million for a domestic haul of $56.2 million.
The Lion King has been a roaring success at the box office, now in its seventh weekend on the top five chart. The CGI-animated picture clawed its way up to third spot from fifth last weekend, earning an additional $6.7 million for a domestic total of $520.9 million.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw hauled in an additional $6.3 million, placing fourth in its fifth weekend at the box office. The successful spin-off now sits at a domestic gross of $157.1 million.
Rounding out the top five was the faith drama Overcomer, earning an additional $5.7 million for a domestic gross of $17.2 million. ~Emily Chavez
I love Gerad Butler in just about anything. He is a great actor. Loved him in "Phantom of the Opera". He sings like an angel. Have loved most of the Fallen movies.
