A brand new film has pushed three-time box office champion Deadpool & Wolverine to second place. Check out which movies made the top five this weekend.
Alien: Romulus, which takes place after the events in the 1979 film Alien, debuted in first place at the weekend box office, taking in $41.5 million.
Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman dropped to second place, earning another $29 million for a four-week haul of $545.8 million.
It Ends with Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni moved a spot to third in its second weekend. Based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, the romantic drama made an extra $24 million for a total of $97.8 million. Click here to read our review.
Twisters starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell dropped one place to fourth, earning an additional $9.8 million for a five-week total of $238.4 million.
Rounding out the top five was the re-release of the animated film Coraline 15th Anniversary, which earned $8.6 million over the weekend.
