The 97th Academy Awards are coming soon and this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the shortlists in 10 of the Oscar categories: Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music - original score, Music - original song, Animated Short Film, Live-Action Short Film, Sound, and Visual Effects.
The films that received multiple nods are Wicked, Emilia Pérez, Blitz, The Apprentice, Dune: Part Two, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Nosferatu, Challengers, The Wild Robot and Gladiator II.
Conan O'Brien will host the 2025 Oscars, which will take place March 2, 2025. The ceremony will air live on ABC and will be broadcast live to more than 200 countries. ~Alexandra Heilbron
