When her mother remarries, an eight-year-old girl's life becomes a nightmare. Her mother turns a blind eye when Michelle is raped by her stepfather. Later on, the girl turns to stripping, drugs and eventually prostitution, where she receives further abuse from her pimp.
Michelle is paroled after a stint in prison on drug charges, but while out, commits a murder and finds herself on death row. She receives regular visits from Bishop Jakes, and eventually opens up to him, detailing the years of painful abuse she suffered as a child. Based on Bishop T.D. Jakes' book and play of the same title.
