Director Elliott was last behind the camera for The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. This film is also set in Australia where a transplanted New Yorker finds himself imprisoned as a love slave in the outback town of Woop, Woop where the citizens listen only to Rogers and Hammerstein music.
