THE MOVIE WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was very very DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! They butchered my favourite book. Bad acting. Rob was trying but I think he still needs some acting classes but he is still HOT. I expected Kristen to do better but she was horrible. No chemistry at all. I didnt go to see a comedy. I hope New Moon is better. I hope it will be done by a new director. Stephanie Mayer said it was good...SHE LIED!!!! A total waste of my day. I should have waited for it on DVD. Im still a fan but the movie didnt do the book any justice.
Where do I begin with my scathing review of this movie: the acting, the filming or the script? Disappointment washed over me well into the first half of the movie. I loved the books, even the last one, as odd as it was, and was praying that Twilight the movie was going to be as close to the book as possible, as the cast and director promised it would be. Wrong. Some of the loose interpretations of the scenes in the book were so out of place it was shocking: hello making out in underwear scene? wth!?! I thought the acting lacked dimension. I thought the script was AWFUL, probably the worst part of it... I mean, when and how did you see Bella fall in love with Edward?! it happened so fast it w
I was amazed by the acting. People, the actors potrayed the characters perfectly. Edward is SUPPOSED to be in pain and misery and all that during the film. Anyone even heared of midnight sun? well read it on meyers page and then tell me that edward on screen is not supposed to do all those emotions on his face as what he thinks in the book. I was expecting a teenflick bad copy and i got what was propably the best version of what can be made of a book with high expectations. NOTHING IS PERFECT. Twilight will always be a BOOK and not the film, appreciate the fact that they even bothered to make a film.
A few parts lacked in content but overall IT WAS PHENOMENAL! It was funny, romantic, cute. I'm seeing it again soon. ( L )
I really enjoyed the movie. I know they took out a lot of scenes, but they still kept a few good ones. I think Robert played an excellent Edward. He really felt the role and EVERY fcial expression. I can't wait for movie 2. And especially excited for the DVD release.
I think some of these comments are ridiculous. How can you expect a movie to compare you your imagination. This is an independent film, not a modest budget. You "child" fans need to grow up an respect the hard work that went into making this film for you. Robert has to play a "tortured" character. He has to live up to a made up vampire. How can he compete with 17 million different perspectives of Edward. Cut them some slack. The movie was fantastic...I will watch it again and again. The book was better but you cant put the entire book into a 2 hour movie. Great Job Stephanie, Kristen, Robert, Catherine and everyone else! I loved it
Amazing :)
i lived it! i loved it! Cant wait for the sequel!!!
I thought the movie was great... it definitely wasn't as good as the book... but being a Harry Potter fan I was expecting that...if I have one complaint it is that they downplayed the romance too much... but this was even a good thing because my boyfriend (who is not a fan of the books) really liked it... I can't wait for the rest of the movies!!
Bad acting, bad directing, bad dialogue, bad music, bad hair..... I will stick to my vampire friends in the Books. Please fire Catherine Hardwicke.... she ruined the movie. It wasn't even filmed in Forks! Forks is a character in and of itself in the books! How could Stephenie have allowed Hollywood to butcher her beloved book like this yet deny us, her devoted READERS, Midnight Sun! Please Mrs. Meyer.... wright a Midnight Sun for every book in the series so I can smile again! lol
Amazing. It's has a few changes from the book, but changes that most people seem to enjoy. 5 stars
I loved the movie. The only things was everything went by so fast. But other then that I LOVED TWILIGHT! Especially Edward Cullen and Jasper Hale!
The movie was alright. If you never read the book you may enjoy it but for those of us who have you will be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. The effects are not the best, the direction of the actors was horrible and Hardwick (director) made Edward more comical than "swoon" Bella needed to soften more with him, the meadow scene wasn't even in a meadow, adding scenes that are not even in the book, kissing in underwear (wtf?) and then putting in a part that HAPPENS IN BOOK 2!!! So not cool. Someone give Jacob Black a rubberband for his hair. lol I hope Hardwich does not direct it next time, her editing is HORRIBLE to me.
Let me just say it was bad... it tried hard but it was an Epic Fail just like Book 4 and please if they do move of the movies DO NOT DO BOOK 4. I CANT STOMACH A GROWN MAN TAKING CHARGE OF ANOTHER BABY GIRL IS JUST NOT RIGTH (IMPRINTING IS PEDOPHILIA) OVER A LITTLE BABY AND THE BIRTH SCEAN WAS JUST OVER THE EDGE
I will have to see it again to be sure, but on first glance, I think they did a pretty good job with the movie. Sure, it lacked in certain respects - in particular, the bulk of the cast was just okay (most of the Cullens apart from Edward, and Jacob) but both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart acted really well and conveyed a powerful chemistry. I was particularly pleased with Kristen's performance. Heading into the theatre, I wasn't expecting her to fit the bill as Bella, primarily because of her deep voice. But she admirably conveyed a vulerability and an aching for Edward that really resonated. Robert's take on Edward was closer in line to what I thought it would be - spicy, intense and
I saw it, it's not very good.
This movie was worth the money tho some things were a little off. BUT i still loved it. Can't wait for it to come ot on DVD, BTW. I LOVE JACOB BLACk
THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!!!
this movie was a joke. I have never laughed so hard. The acting was bad, really bad, what was with their faces, they just looked plain silly, and I understand you can't put everything from the book in the movie, but pretty much nothing in the movie was taken from the book and the little that was, was completely wrong. $10.25 and 122 minutes of my life gone, but i did laugh, so that's good, about the only thing good about this movie
A phemonenal movie! Even though some of the features of the book were missing, Seville pictures did a great job on it.
the movie was really good of coarse its not as good as the book no movie that is from a book is as good it is impossible to many poeple want differant things...and twilight couldnt have become a mini tv series look at gossip girl the show is soo not like the book it would have ruined it ...go see the movie and try and see it as just a movie not what you see in your head...by the way robert pattinson is so hot go see it for that reason!
I liked the movie , I was disapointed about some of the scenes .. but overall i would still love to see the next 3 books into a movie !
It wasn't what I expected. Kind of a disappointment. The book was so much better, but then again that's always the case.
This movie was really corntastic. The music was downright comical and I couldn't stop laughing, it was so bad. It has all the elements of the book but puts them in at the wrong times or portrays them really weird. This movie was only good for laughing and nothing else. One thing that particularly irritated me was that Bella didn't even smile throughout her whole performance.
It was alright, the last parts of the movie saved its butt big time. Maybe in a sequel people can stop acting like amature actors.
Worst movie ever. Ridiculous dialogue, poor visual effects, outrageously cliché. Didn’t do the book justice at all. Clearly made for tweens.
obviously it cant be the exact same as the movie. the people already said theyre making tiwlight the movie BASED on the book. not twlilight the book the movie. i think it was well done. but you do have to remember its NOT going to be the exact same. Stephanie Meyer was happy with it. that is how SHE pictured it.
The movie was good, if you didn't read the books. I agree with some of the comments on here, that they did not pay attention to detail, detail that every fan would have actually noticed. The meadow scene, the pivotal scene in the movie, was butchered. The character relationships were NOT developed at all. The Bella-Edward relationship was not even properly projected. It really made me sad as a fan of the book. I also think they should have had a stronger female lead. Kristen Stewart does not possess the emotion to be Bella.
I gave it 5 stars...the actors did the best job they could, I meant "really" to have to display the deep and impacting emotion and drama that made the books so hard to put down, how do you act that out 100%. I really think that the next movie should have a new director, and I think should be longer then 2 hours. The actress that played Bella is a bit to HARD for the part, she is good but not for this kind of role. They should have gone with an unknown actress that could put down the I am loveably nervous/excited/2 steps away from a broken heart... I can't live without Edward vibe :).
it didnt follow the book as well as i would have liked and the acting wasnt as great as i would have thought, but overall i enjoyed the movie
Boring.
I thought it was horrible acting directing and was nothing like the book! Do not see it. Unless you want to waste your time and money!
very close to the book
It was an incredible action-packed thrilling romance film. Edward and BElla fall for each other. Great film!!!
Absolutely terrible - so terrible in fact that it was downright hilarious to watch. I got so much genuine entertainment that I don't regret paying to see the movie. But honestly, from the horrible acting to the graphics to EVERYTHING.. whoa... hilariously brutal.
I watched this movie last night, and I was thinking it would be a horrible movie, but it came out to be an amazing movie!
The movie was AWESOME. Of course not as good as the book, but still well done. A few parts were a little cheesy, but that's ok. Unfortunately, I had some horribly annoying young girls in our theatre. Making girly shrieks pretty much anytime Edward was on-screen. So please, do everyone else in the theatre a favor and enjoy the movie QUIETLY. Note to self: Edward can't hear you!! Other than that, great movie experience. Well cast and the cinematography was really cool.
I knew the movie wouldn't compare to the book, but i thought that more of the subtle, meaningful thigns would be captured. It's all about the small things. However alot was lost in the movie :( I was so sad the scene where bella faints in bio class because of the blood wasn't in there. And the movie did not talk about the volturi so i dont know what they will do for the next movie but we'll just have to see. Despite alot of things that they could have done to make this movie seem more bell-edward focused, i enjoyed it for the fact that i was able to see some emotions come to life. Jasper was amazing. Edward did well too. The fight scene was a lot better than i thought it was gonna be. I do k
Poorly done.
You can't rate a movie when you have only read the book! This movie was not a good one. If you have not read the books then you feel like you have walked into it half way through and are trying to catch up with the sloppy plot that has no continuity! Also, my sister loves the books and she hated the movie! The acting was awful! I can see how the books would be good but the movie just is not!
love it!!! but missing some romantic scenes!!!
Loved it! Not as good as the book but the movies never are...looking forward to the sequels. Everyone did a great job in it and brought their own interpretation of the character into the movie.
Good books should not be turned into movies! Its was a HOT MESS! i understand that you can't actually film the book, but still...I strongly STRONGLY believe that you should read the book/series before to have a better understanding of the movie. HECK! I read the whole series and i was STILL confused at parts. It was jumpy from scene to scene, and did not flow well. And the actors, oh the actors...better luck next time!
All around loved it, just a little upset with the way the layed out some of the events of the book. They didnt happen in the movie the same way they happened in the book.
I saw the movie last night, sure it wasn't the book, but it is by far one of the best book to movie adaptations I have ever seen! The style of filming is something i haven't really seen before, and i thought it went well with the concept of the story. The actors and actresses were right on for me, i truly enjoyed it! :D
I was so dissapointed after sitting in line from 1:30 to sve spots for me and friends. It was not worth the wait in fact I wish I hadn't seen it at all. Nothing seemed right there wasn't enough relationship evolution and their face expressions for both bella and edward seemed so wrong part of the time... especially in bio he looks like he's going to throw up! that is not how it was supposed to be he was just supposed to act like he hated her not that he wanted to throw up on her!!!! If there are more I'm not seeing them unless I hear they are 10 times better! I loved Jacob he was great! This was definitely a dissappointment.
I liked the movie, to be honest. I'm an extreme perfectionist, and a huge fan of the books, since before they became popular. They did fairly well on the movie - it's hard to condense all of the detail in the book into a two-hour movie, but it was well done for a movie with a small budget. I liked the actors - some of the acting was a bit awkward, but not as terrible as some acting I've witnessed, being an actor myself. I would like to see how they handle a second one, to be honest. They might have a better budget for the secnod one too. In my opinion, it could have been a bit longer, maybe three hours like Lord of the Rings, because you get so caught up in the story that you don't realize h
I don't want to see roots on perfect beings...Rosalie & Carlisle. Get new hair people for the next one!
saw the movie last night.. chemistry wasn't there(awkward) the simple relationship of edward and bella wasnt really there. I hope when they get enough money for the 2nd movie to really explain everything and develope more of a relationship between bella and the cullens
