This was probably not the worst movie that Ive seen, but close to it. It was a poor effort on the directors part to bring the book to life. The acting was substandard and the special effects amateurish. I never did get any sense of chemistry between the characters. Edwards expressions and reactions were akward making him appear more psychotic than frightening and Bella seemed just disinterested. I won't even comment on Jaspers character. The only characters that I feel were "comfortable" with the roles and cast well were Alice and Jacob. Lets just hope the next movie has a director that will do the book some justice

I am a fan of the books and this movie was awful. Kristen Stewart was a boring and bratty Bella, and Robert Pattinson was wearing more makeup than any of the female characters.

I have read all the books! I was soo excited for the movie to come out! but the movie in my head was way better then this one! I hope the other seqeuls will be made just for the people who love the books and i hope the others are better then this. And I hope that they dont cut any parts out! I wish in twilight they would have included more from the book like jacob dancing with bella at prom and bella fainting in class with the blood types! And i hoped they would have been more chemestry between the actors not the characters but over all very good!

so i went to see this last night with my sister my mom my dad and me oh my gosh this movie was awesome i was exitced when i saw EDWARD face on the big screen i was smiling at him i difftenly rent it on DVD when it comes out Robert pattinson play the best part of EDWard when he intourduce himself to her the movie was awesome Twilight the awesome movie of 2008

LOVED it, It was as good as the book, but still i loved it, if they would have done every scene that we all loved from the book, the movie would have been like 4-5 hours, I loved it cant wait for the second to come out!!!

Was even better the second time. I was able to see some of the subtle actions that I'd missed the first time, which added to the story. And it's very entertaining listening to the girls in the theatre swoon.

I am absolutely in love with the Twilight BOOK. The movie on the other hand was beyond terrible. I had low expectations to begin with and it somehow failed to meet my low expectations. I don't know what boggles my mind more, how some ppl genuinely loved it or the fact there's going to be a sequel.

very poor movie all around. just terrible. i dont recommend that people go see it, its not worth anyones money. as much as i myself and others like the book, the movie is just a total disapointment.

It was not what I had pictured. Though it had some funny scenes I would not rush out to see it again. There were many important parts that were left out. The music, did not appear to have the feel of the movie. If you go to Myers site, she has a huge list of music that she was listening to while writing the book. IF they do a second move, take in to consideration the music that she was listening too. Poor Jasper looked like he pooped he pants the whole movie. Regardless it was light and refreshing.

The actors were wonderful in thier portrayal of the characters Edward and Bella. The movie started off moveing to fast and choppy through the crucial setting up of the romantic nature between Bella and Edward. It felt rushed and confusing. If you had not read the book you wouldn't have understood what was going on between the characters. At first it seemed as if you were watching a documentory or a movie produced by an amateur film producer. They cut so many parts from the book that you wondered if most of the film and story ended up on the editing room floor. Several of the parts that were in the trailers were left out of the movie. These were crucial parts which when cut out made the move

in my opinion,it was a good movie. if you've never read the book then you would think it was amazing. yes, they did leave out some stuff and rushed the meadow scene but what i think people are disappointed about is that it wasnt what they pictured in there head. all in all, i recommend people to watch it and i hope they continue with the series :)

I think this movie was made for those who have read the books (which I have not). This movie was really bad because of the choppy dialogue & Kristen Stewart's horrible acting.

i am a fan of the books and this film did not suffice at all. Very poor acting with the exception of Edward and Alice, who seemed to be the only one's how actually Knew their character. They should defiantly recast, and find a new Bella that can actually portray some real emotion! i was bored throughout the film, the only enjoyably parts were seeing the scared look on Jaspers face and getting to see Edward besides that their was nothing really special with it. if a sequel would be made i would not see it tell they had a cast that could actually act! Don't waste your time to see it if you have read the books it will be a complete disappointment. the only people who could enjoy this movie woul

Of course it's nothing compared to the saga, but this is now my favorite movie, its scary, funny, romantic, all in one, its a full package, and i've already seen this movie 3 times, and it just gets better.!!! If you havn't seen it, i recommend you too!

It was ok... the actors were really hot (like they should have been) but i thought that Edward wasn't close enough to Bella and vise versa. They left out at least half the book and made insignificant scenes. I think that if you didn't read the book, it wouldn't make much sence and walk away thinking that Stepanie Meyer's book was dumb (totally not true!!).

Twilight had much more potential. In the book, Edward Cullen charmed and dazzled me. In this sloppy attempt of an adaptation, Edward was ridiculously terrifying, and that is not said postively. Terrible movie. I was strong to defend it against its critics - but I raise my hands and admit to its failure.

This is the best movie I've seen in a while. I loved everything about it. It wasn't just filmed as a movie, it was filmed as a work of art, and everyone who doesn't like the movie can't appreciate art.

Edward was really creepy and ugly, Bella was WAYY too passive, the movie was too fast-paced and the dialogue didn't even seem to match the scenes. This movie was horrible and I know that most of the time movies aren't as great as the books, but this movie completely put the book to shame.

Having read the series more than once all the way through, my expectations were very high and I didn't expect to fall in love with the movie like the book. Twilight the movie more than exceeded my expectations with the intense relationship that begins to bloom between Edward and Bella. But I have to say, my favorite part by far was the baseball scene, never really even gave that part in the story much thought until I saw it on the big screen. Way to go! 5 Stars!!

TWILIGHT WAS AMAZING.. OBVIOUSLY NOT AS GOOD AS THE BOOK BUT IT STILL WAS PHENOMENON!! ROBERT PATTINSON WAS PERFECT FOR EDWARD, HE PLAYED THE PART SO WELL! <3 I FELL IN LOVE WITH EDWARD ALL OVER AGAIN.. KRISTEN ISN'T SUCH A GOOD ACTRESS BUT IT DIDN'T RUIN THE MOVIE.. I agree, no movie is ever as good as it's original book form, but they did great! It left me with the "Feeling" I get when I've seen a good movie. The chemistry was there between the actors, Jasper and Alice were PERFECTLY depicted, and there was some added comedy to lighten the mood. Also, the sparkling skin scene was done very well. Not over the top, but not barely-there either. And let's not forget Edward!!! Perfect beyond all doubt! I'd give it 4/5 <3

This Was HORIBBLY DONE. I knew that the movie wouldn't be as good as the book.But it turned out to be much more of a disapointment then i could've toke. There was no chemistry between bella & Edward, everything was snapshot and conversation barely even lasted 6 minutes. If I didn't read the book, I would have been tottaly lost, because nothing really made sense, everything was put togther horibbly and was gone thru too quick for me to even realize what was happening. Edward seemed scared half the time like he was trying to hard to come up with emotions, and Bella seemed constipated and like she lacked some part of her brain. OK the was very funny. I didn't like that they changed the events and all ut it was an ok movie.I am an obsessed fan of the twilight series and off stephenie meyer's writings but i was a little bit angry that they portrayed the book in such a way. All n all the movie was ok but it could have been way better. Love edward though:)

I thought that the movie, was extremely well done. I knew on my way to the theatre that I wasn't going to be disapointed. First of all, Robert Pattinson played a very beautiful Edward, it makes everyone want a real Edward in their life. By the way, I have loved your talent and looks since you played Cedric. My friends would joke around, saying that cedric was ugly, but now their are in love with you too. But, very well done!!! You should be proud! Hopefully we will see you all in the next movie!!!

amazing movie.. the director did a great job on getting the scenes from the right angles and just making this film work.. they casted the cast extremely well and everyone fits their parts. at first i thought that Kristen Stewart wasn't right for this part. i thought of someone totally different when i read the book, but Kristen proved me wrong!

They should have bit the bullet and made a longer movie that was more true to the book and characters. This was so dumbed down that I think they will loose most of the older audience that loves these books. I myself am in my 30s, to me this was just another teen movie. I am dissapointed and hope that they do better in the future with the rest of the movies, and get these kids some more acting classes.

Kristen needs to learn how to act.. or don't breathe so heavily and twitch your eyes everytime you talk! It was really annoying. The chemistry between Edward and Bella was missing. Bella and Alice's relationship wasn't even acknowledged. I really hope the director reads all the comments before reproducing New Moon.

I was so incredibly dissapointed in this movie. The only actors in the movie were "Alice" and "Edward", not that that was their fault. The actors were simply poorly chosen. I would have liked the director to have involved the author in the process more, because a ton of key attributes were missed on many of the main characters. I found myself laughing at how horrible some scenes turned out and at some of the awful dialogue that was injected. This could have been a movie for adults and children, but honestly I would be surprized if anyone over the age of 20 would enjoy the movie after reading the book. this movie was great i loved it but it wasn't nearly as descriptive or graphic as the book which i think is kinda sad but with a bit more money and effort i think that they can make the rest of the series 10 times better

I really enjoyed the movie and the actors were very good. Although, i did find it a bit rushed. It was like scene scene scene and the little details that tied it together weren't there. It didn't really show the chemistry between Edward and Bella i think there just wasn't enough parts about it. If it showed the romance happening it could have been better. I would have rather had it be a 4 hour movie with lots of time put in. My advice is to tie the parts together and not rush. Also to explain a bit more about the relationships and don't cut as much of the book out.
