Ernst Lubitsch's "To Be or Not to Be" is a comedy classic. A theatre troupe, led by a vain actor and his beautiful wife (Jack Benny and Carole Lombard), get mixed up in intrigue and espionage in Nazi-occupied Poland, and end up putting on the performance of their lives. Lubitsch's lampooning of Hitler was very daring, at a time when the outcome of the war was uncertain.
