In the Angulo family, six brothers and their sister grew up in Lower Manhattan, completely cut off from the outside world. They were home-schooled by their parents, and they learned about the world mainly from watching movies on video.
Their story is told in this documentary. The father, Oscar Angulo, is an angry Peruvian. The boys escape their real-life existence by memorizing, re-writing and re-enacting movies. They make props using duct tape and cardboard and use old video equipment to shoot takes.
