When Doctor Williams is called to examine an odd prisoner, he is faced with a difficult decision. Mr. Voorman, the prisoner, claims to be a god. Doctor Williams must ask Mr. Voorman several questions, such as why would a god allow himself to be chained up in prison? He also wants to see proof of this man's claim to be a god before releasing him to an asylum.

Based on the novel by David Mitchell.
