Filmmaker Andreas Pichler documents the degradation of the city of Venice, Italy. Pichler attempts to show the city’s descent into physical, social and moral decay due to pressures such as mass tourism and emigration.
Renowned as one of the most glamorous places in the world, Venice is a city that welcomes an average of 60,000 tourists each day. But the city’s inhabitants only add up to about 48,000. This film will explore the issue of Venice possibly becoming uninhabitable.
