At 61, a weary Slimane (Habib Boufares) is let go from the shipyard where he's toiled for 35 years. He's divorced from his wife (Bouraouia Marzouk) and lives in a hotel run by his lover Latifa (Hatika Karaoui). Slimane tries to stay close to his grown children and their extended families. But the only person who seems to understand him is Latifa's teenage daughter Rym.
It's with Rym's help that Slimane decides to use his severance pay to buy a decrepit boat and turn it into a restaurant. Latifa isn't too pleased, given that he plans to serve food cooked by his ex-wife—in particular, her fish couscous.
But now Slimane is on his way to making his dream come true. Well, almost.
