Overall, I truly enjoyed the movie. It was uplifting and encouraging and the cinematography was spectacular…and truly loved the ending.
Great movie. Not perfect, but well worth it. Very uplifting. Cinematography is amazing, the awesome soundtrack brings it to another level. I got chills.
In my opinion, I thought Ben Stiller did a superb job of playing his role: stupid. I felt there was no climax in the movie outside of a good ending where Ben did get his girl.
The movie was one of the best I have seen in a long time, Ben Stiller was fantastic as the lead character and his relationships with the different people in his life were honest and at times unique.
Part comedy, part action, part romance. Wonderful and quirky movie all around and refreshingly clean. I enjoyed the cinematography and scenery.
I was lucky enough to see the advanced screening of this movie (thank you Tribute!) and had high hopes that it would be as good as the trailer portrayed it to be. Although it had a great cast and some good moments, the story left you wanting more. We left the theatre feeling like there was something missing. I'm still trying to figure out what it was. Like the old saying goes "Close...but no cigar".
I watched the 1947 version of, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" starring Danny Kaye several times and it always had a place in my heart as one of the classics. When I heard that Ben Stiller was doing his version I was a little nervous, as I'm not always keen on the remaking of a well loved classic, however I was overwhelmed with the beauty of the film. Ben Stiller outdid himself. The cinematography was fantastic and brought me to the places Walter Mitty travelled, I felt I was there. It worked so well on the big screen, really drawing the viewer in. I left the theatre with a feeling of why daydream about life, go live it! I will be recommending that my family and friends go see this film a
great climax progression. starts a bit slow
I found it a bit slow moving but really enjoyed the entire cast.
Good mix of fun, quirkiness, comedy and inspiration, all to an awesome soundtrack.
It was a very positive movie about life, dreams and living to your fullest. The character of Walter Mitty was magically transformed from a 'grey piece of paper' by Ben Stiller. Travel and adventure were beautifully highlighted giving the movie energy and enthusiasm, transforming the audience from spectator to participant. I'd highly recommend it.
We really enjoyed the movie (my brother and I discussed it all the way home). It not only was entertaining, especially in unexpected series of trips through the exotic and dangerous lands to find Sean Penn (which we really appreciated the purity of the environments and landscapes) but also the diversity of plots i.e. the love angle, the search and the fact that Walter finally came to grips with reality though his endeavors(finally being a true hero)and the final twist with the picture in the wallet his loving mother had kept. His ability to face the dreaded "downsizer" the way he did, so confidently, and the final walking off into the sunset holding hands was almost more magical than his abi
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the screening of Walter Mitty. They did an amazing job making his vivid dreams the highlight of the movie and it kept you engaged throughout. Its one of those feel good movies and I think one of Ben Stillers best works.
Very enjoyable. A nice light plot line. A good evening out.Not exactly how I remembered the book, but I haven't read the book for many years!
HEY! ENJOYED THE MOVIE. REMINDED OF ME SOMETIMES ZONING OUT AND DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE. LIKE I FINALLY GOT ENOUGH NERVES TO GO GLIDING, WHICH WAS TOTALLY AWESOME! NEXT JUNE, GOING SKY DIVING! CANT WAIT!!!THX.
This was a pleasant romp through a strange mind. There were times when I did not know if I was watching real events unfold or if I was in Mitty's mind, but this was still a very enjoyable movie. Stillers performance was above his normal. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes to escape.
We very much enjoyed the movie. It was not what we expected to see from Ben Stiller, so a bit of a surprise. It was a "feel good" movie that provided a few good laughs.
The reason why I go to see a movie like The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty on the big screen is to be entertained by it's light-hearted nature (on the surface; this versus 12 Years A Slave genre). It was a great story with laughs, some intrigue and guessing, and, of course, some issues that go deeper; but, it was never too slow or boring, and kept your attention throughout. The locations and scenery were fantastic!
The movie was nice, not great. The plus side, while there was no foal language ( a plus) and no violence ( which was even greater). It lack humor. No, I would not pay to go see this movie, and some people may find it long. The actor was a bit stupid and I don't really like people that get bullied around. The message is probably saying: everybody can do something with their life and he finally did. He overcame his shyness and got the girl.
Great movie, but lacked the climax that was needed for you to call it a favorite.
It's a very funny movie but what I liked is that the movie it's not only funny, is also very emotional and captures the feelings of the viewer.
Ben Stiller was true to form. Great visuals
I enjoy following the caracter in all his fantasiy . There was no real climax at the end of the movies. It look just like one more daydream.
Thank you for your generosity. My wife and I left the movie after 45 minutes. We just could not "get into it."
Very well made !!! Awesome !
I definitely enjoyed it! It is a feel good movie that is also moving. Ben Stiller is great in it. I truly recommend this film!
Amazing movie! loved the visuals!
All in all, an excellent and entertaining movie. Loses a star strictly for the various scenes that can't be taken too seriously (briefcase vs. shark etc.), but retains its comedic, dramatic and inspiring elements. Amazing soundtrack!
Très bon fim avec un monde imaginaire débordant
Ben Stiller was perfect for the part. I haven't enjoyed a movie this much since I saw the last Bond film.
Ben Stiller was funny and engaging. Kept me glued to the screen.
Really worth seeing, Ben Stiller is at his best.
Wonderful, feel-good movie with great music and enchanting visuals. Perfect for the holidays
Good movie. Ben Stiller was great! Read the story when I was in high school!
It was light, entertaining and funny, great to open on December 25th!
This is a great date night movie. I enjoy this one.

I was at the screening of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty this week. It was a very good movie with spectacular cinematography! Ben Stiller went out of his way to film on location and the results are amazing eye candy! The comedy and acting was fluff but enjoyable. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Overall the movie was good. Some parts seemed a little bit long. The ending had a good twist. The mother nature scenes were breath taking. Ben did an fantastic job on the movie. Thank for so much for the opporunity see an advance screening of the film.
The movie was Inspiring, funny and heart warming. I thoroughly enjoyed it and believe that people my age (around 40) can relate to it more than the younger generation. I will definitely watch it again.
I was pleasantly surprised at the story and direction by Mr Stiller. There were plenty of laughs and kept me entertained all the way through. It was definitely worth seeing in theatres.
During the first few minutes of the movie, I wasn't sure I would be able to sit through it. But as it progressed, it kind of grew on me and I ended up really enjoying it.
Despite brand placements tied directly to the plot, Walter Mitty was a very good movie and grew on me as it progressed. Worth a watch for the beautiful visuals, unique story and heartwarming message.
It was amusing, but not funny as in continuous laughs. I was very taken, though, by the gorgeous settings in the film. They added a realistic quality to Mitty's imagination. The soundtrack was terrific, too.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this movie. The first few minutes of the movie I felt went a bit slow but it picked up. Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig worked well together and didn't disappoint. It was a much better film than my impression of it was just from the trailers. I would definitely recommend seeing it.
Not a big fan of Stiller, but the role suited him. Plot was well-written. Highly recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyable, a "late" coming of age movie that will take you on a fun ride where daydreaming can hold you back or make you fly.
This movie was entertaining, but my husband and I found it was slow in places. the cinematography of Iceland and Greenland was spectacular and the soundtrack was pretty good. The action shots were obviously computer generated;we thought these were quite lame. Acting was okay. We appreciate the free passes, but we would have been disappointed if we had to have paid full price.
"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was a great escape into the world of an ordinary man's mind. The movie is quirky and original, with Ben Stiller doing an excellent job portraying his role. At first I thought the movie might have a few too many 'dream sequences', it quickly became a real adventure, with beautiful scenery around the world. Kristen Wiig is charming and sweet as the unrequited love interest. Overall it's exciting, funny, and heart-warming all in one.
Love Ben stiller!!! The movie was creative! Well written, well directed and the actors were natural and funny! Looks like it was a fun movie to shoot. :)
