In September of 1970, a family of pop musicians burst onto the television scene. The Partridge Family centers on a fatherless family of six who form a rock band and tour the country in their psychedelic-painted bus.
The band's members include mom Shirley (Shirley Jones) and her five kids: oldest son Keith (David Cassidy), keyboardist Laurie (Susan Dey), bassist and get-rich-quick schemer Danny (Danny Bonaduce), and the two youngest Partridges, Chris (Brian Forster) and Tracy (Suzanne Crough). The family's frequently exasperated manager Reuben Kincaid (David Madden) rounds out the cast.
Highlights of the fourth season include: Four-year-old Ricky (Ricky Segall) moves next door and sings with the family. The Partridges try (unsuccessfully) to conserve energy. Laurie poses as Keith's date to make other girls jealous, but the plan backfires. Danny wants to impress a girl by telling her rabbi father that the Partridges are Jewishand the whole family is invited to dinner. Shirley tries to hire a maid, but it's all in the family when her mother shows up to apply.
