The Other Side of November
Depending on whether she succeeds in immigrating to Canada in November 1974, a Lebanese woman has two possible and entirely different destinies. Will she be Lea, a neurosurgeon in Montreal who has never had children? Or Layla, a seamstress and mother in her native village?
In either case, this 50-year-old, who has experienced a recent and disturbing loss of memory, is haunted by the memory of her childhood friend Samira.
