Writer Gabriel Noone (
Robin Williams), who tells his stories on the radio, experiences a personal slump when his boyfriend Jess (
Bobby Cannavale) decides to leave him. But when his editor sends him a manuscript to get his opinion, Gabriel becomes hooked by the story.

Now living with Donna, a social worker, Pete’s been diagnosed with AIDS. Pete and Gabriel connect via phone, but Gabriel begins to believe the boy may not really exist.
