Sachio Kinugasa (Masahiro Motoki) is a popular writer, who is widowed after his wife (Eri Fukatsu) dies in a bus accident. When he meets Yoichi Omiya (Pistol Takehara), whose wife (Keiko Horiuchi) also died in the same bus accident, Sachio Kinugasa impulsively offers to take care of the grieving Yochi’s two children.
