Mitch McDeere (Tom Cruise) is an aspiring law student on the verge of graduating from Harvard Law School. He’s approached by a prestigious law firm, and after an attractive offer, he takes the job and moves with his wife (Jeanne Tripplehorn) to Memphis, Tennessee.
Constantly showered with lavish gifts, Mitch soon begins to realize that there’s more to the firm than meets the eye.
