Michael and Bruno are half brothers who live totally different lifestyles. The only thing they have in common is their mother, who abandoned them to live a bohemian, carefree life, leaving them with their respective grandparents.
A molecular biologist, Michael is an introvert who lives only for his genetic research. On the contrary, Bruno is a slave to his desires, on a never ending quest for sexual pleasure.
But their lives change when they find love. Michael reconnects with his childhood sweetheart, Annabelle, and Bruno discovers the ideal partner of his fantasies in Christiane. Believing that luck has finally turned in their favor, both of their companions, by a cruel turn of events, both fall gravely ill.
Both men have to decide whether to live in a relationship that may end tragically, or return to their solitary lives.
