This film interweaves two parallel stories in two very different times. In the first, the world has suffered a catastrophic epidemic. In the civilization which arises out of the ashes of the old one, innovation is kept to a minimum through the craft of master dreamers, who listen to (and project on screens) the dreams of their clients.
In some fashion one is allowed to have the same dream as any other person. The dream master in the story (Giorgos Constas) is told a client's dream which obsesses him so much that he is unable to do anything other than play it out over and over again.
In the parallel story, set in current (late 1980s) Athens, archaeologist and tour guide Athena (Filareti Comninou) works at the agora (classical Athenian marketplace), and has just the wisp of a romantic relationship with her actor neighbor, Jason (Giorgos Constas).
However, Jason belongs to an enigmatic theater group which is as much spy organization as it is theater, and his director urges Jason to report on Athena's movements.
