Thought-provoking and interesting.

Keeps you thinking through out the movie.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

Excellent movie which stayed true to the book. Nicely filmed and a must see.

You need to come into the theater without previously judged the movie. Understand that you cannot make a movie out of this book unless you make it into a triology. There is a lot of ground to be covered, rather what you should do is watch the movie then read the book. Use the movie as a guide into a new way of thinking, an introduction per say then decide what you would like to do.

I thought is was a suspenseful, well-paced adaptation of Dan Brown`s book. I couldn`t picture Tom Hanks in his role before seeing it but he did Robert Langdon`s character justice.

The idea behind the story was definitely intriguing. The movie itself - after a bit of a forced beginning - moved well and was quite captivating right to the bitter end, whenever a little predictable at times.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

This movie is not as good as the book. Long and boring.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

I knew that the critics were going to pan this movie when I first heard about it. The subject matter makes it difficult for most people to be objective about it. However, this movie had me on the edge of my seat right to the end. It was interesting to see how faith can be shaped by history (even within a fictitious context). Although action pictures are one of my favourites, I also like movies that challenge people to think and this one did that.

I enjoyed the movie. I read the book and thought the movie stood on it`s own as a movie and you did not have to have read the book to "get it".

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

I thought that is was very well done. It had both sides, which made your mind very stimulated to think. I enjoyed it very much.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

I love how Tom Hanks can totally submerse himself into a role and become THAT person...not Tom Hanks play acting. I am just sorry that the movie didn`t become such a hit. Mostly because too much was made of the book and peopel expected more form the movies...then it should have been a longer epic to make it worth while. Especially folling Nicholas Cage`s movie of National Treasure...it burst the bubble for The DaVinci code following.

I thought it was a fun movie, with lost sof action and suspense. Also its a decent adaptation of the book. It`s worth a look!

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

Awesome, well acted. As close to the book as is humanly possible.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

Okay story, but that`s all it is: a story. Why are people treating it as fact?

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

Wonderful that the plot was stuck to. Great directing by Ron Howard. I thought another choice besides Tom Hanks would have been better. Other than this one great movie that kept ones attention the entire long length. Jennifer

I thought the Da Vince Code was a wonderful movie - it really gets you thinking and maybe, who knows for sure, it may be all true and what we have be thought isn`t the whole truth.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

All the hype ruined it. Stick with the book.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

While no movie quite captures the book, the screen play was well done. Especially when they had so much difficulty with the locations. Good entertainment and value for the movie-goers buck.

A fabulous show with suspense, intrigue, on the edge of your seats kind of show. I found it an interesting theory of dipicting what might of happened at Jesus`s time on earth. I give the show a thumb`s up.

Not great... I haev to be completely honest when I say that I was expecting MUCH more for this movie.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

I was disappointed with this movie. If you had not read the book it was a bit confusing. Tom Hanks was excellent as usual but the movie itself was not very easy to follow and to capture all of the subtle meanings behind its premice.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

Aside from changes to the book - it was an enjoyable story - maybe more so if you haven`t read the book.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

A little on the slow side but I would ahve to say that it was one of Tom Hanks` better movies.

User review rating: 0 June 23, 2006

It was interesting and mind boggling to think about the truth behind my faith. I always wondering why the church made men out to be more important or worthy when it came to heading up the largested organization in the world, the catholic church.

The DaVinci Code was okay, but I found it lacked the complexity and intensity of the book. It left my friends asking questions at key parts in the movie that could only be answered by someone who had read the book. Overall I think the movie was over hyped.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Alot of information to keep track of in a short period of time.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

I liked it. But They left out all the info about the illuminati.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Great movie overall, entertaining and kept my attention. Don`t compare it to the novel because it stands better on its own.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

I enjoyed the movie but I expected more from Hanks.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Book is much better

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

The Da Vinci Code was a great movie but featured too much church symbols that would complicate the movie for the average movie viewer.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

If you haven`t read the book then it will be a fabulous movie for viewers. However, looking at it from a movie perspecitve it was good but seemed somehow rushed. Probably having read the book spoiled the movie a bit for most, I try to keep an open mind about the fact that it is a movie and they just can`t cram all the fine details that the book contains.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Thought it was a great movie, lots of action, twists and turns. Kept you on the edge of your seat.

INTERESTING THEORY TO CONSIDER IN CHRISTIANITY

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

What airhead came up with that premise? If it was just to solve a murder it would have been average but how does the guy with the cane, Tom Hanks and Sophie actually they can hold the keys to anything. If you have a brain when you go see it, expect to come out laughing like they did at Cannes. Oh, well, any excuse to bash Catholicism to sell a movie is silly.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

This movie was just alright. Not much chemistry between the main actors.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

I was disappointed. Perhaps, this movie has been given way too much hype and my expectations were too high. However, I felt that Langdon and Sophie lacked chemistry. If anything, I felt like they had a more father-daughter relationship. On a positive note, Ian M. was awesome! Then again, he`s one of my favourite actors. All in all, the book was better than the movie.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

it was very captivation

INTERESTING THEORY TO CONSIDER IN CHRISTIANITY

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

A movie thriller with truths and lies but most of all entertaining.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

I really liked it. It really made you think and watch to see what would happen next.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

This movie was a true adaptation of the book. Exactly how I pictured many things as I read about them. The actors all did an awesome job bringing the characters to life

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Not one of Tom Hanks` best pictures, the movie dragged and really did not get good (my personal opinion) until near the end by which time I really wanted to leave. Over all an ok movie with lots of twists and turns. 3 out of 5 for me!

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

A well done movie

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

The movie was very long with little happening for too long of stretches

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

very interesting...does make you think about things and wonder from a different perspective.

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

It was a great adaptation of one aspect of the book....the story....Hanks did not portray the emotion that a man, who studies the ancient symbols, should feel upon seeing and holding the icons presented....otherwise...awesome movie

Different insight!

User review rating: 0 June 22, 2006

Excellent work on trying to preserve the book. Gtreat connecting the Priory de Sion with the Templars!

User review rating: 0 June 21, 2006

Wonderfully rich in plot and character. Ron Howard continues to shine and shows why he is an Oscar winner - his choices are unique and keep you entertained. Hanks was the absolute perfect choice to play Langdon. This is five stars out of five. Bravo.
