A really well done period piece with good actors and great singing. It also managed to gently address the social problems of gay men and the fears of adolescent boys being sent into the trenches in France in 1916. The audience was silent, throughout, giving the movie their rapt attention and a few tears at its end. I may have to go and see it again.

The final scenes of men seeking sex is kinda not appropriate for an otherwise wonderful movie about music. The successful development of the choral was enough.

The music is marvelous. Ralph Fiennes is wonderful as are the others. The message is pertinent for today: Art - especially music - is a vital necessity for healing, community, and finding hope amidst the horrors and despair of war, serving as an essential way to preserve humanity and beauty when society feels broken.

Too much swearing and suggestive scenes. Good music and singing spoiled by very uncomfortable scenes!!!!
