On April 22, 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico, the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig run by British Petroleum was the source of the worst oil spill in history. The oil well was finally killed on September 19, 2010 after 779,037,744 liters of crude oil and over 7,000,000 liters of chemical dispersant were dumped into the ocean.
In looking into the root causes of the spill, a vast network of corruption is uncovered.
