Over the course of three years, Iranian filmmaker Mitra Farahani interviewed Iranians of different ages and types: a young woman living in freedom, a teen living at home, a transsexual, a retired soldier and a prostitute.
With great candor, they expressed their thoughts about love, especially sexuality, in a country dominated by Islam, where affection is prohibited in public and virginity is essential for a woman wishing to marry. The testimonies are interspersed by the enactment of an erotic Persian poem from the XIXe century written by Iraj Mirza.
