A great completion to a great series... Best Star Wars ever... action and excitment...
Best Scene Closeup of Darth Vaders mask being locked on and hearing him breath for the first time through it. Cool
When the movie finished, I felt unfufilled. Some questions were answered in the movie, but for the die hard fans, there are some questios that Episode III can`t answer, and it seems to throw off the whole continutity of the Star Wars Universe. Still it was an enjoyable movie that I would want to see again, but this time on an IMAX screen.
The new school star wars will never compare to the classics i grew up with back in the day. It is not as capturing and too HOllYWOOD. May be better if they followed what they started in the same manner. Yes we have come along way in filming and such but sometimes the old is always the best.
The series ended on a dark note which had to follow the story line I suppose. It still did not change my opinion that it was a great film and finished the series strongly.
The comments of people who really disliked this installment(as well as other installments) of Star Wars really leave me quite confussed. I mean if you didn`t like the other two, why oh why would you even watch this one. As for this installment I believe that this could very well be the second best in the Star Wars installment, with Empire Strikes Back as number one! Excellent way of connecting Episodes I & II with light humour but also connecting Episode III with IV, V, and VI...all told quite well done.
Very disappointing. The acting was horrible. Do these guys not understand that Star Wars = Epic? Do they not realize they are part of a lasting legacy?? They didn`t put 10% of the emotion required to pull this off. It was all razzle dazzle for the eye, but no story to actually glue it all together... I weep for Star Wars and will simply have to blank out the first 3 episodes from my mind altogether.
Despite the disappointment of the first 2 episodes, mostly episode 1 though, this 3rd episode makes up for all the mistakes that the prequals have caused. Star Wars episode III was just phenominal, the pictures, sounds, storyline and connections between the prequals and the sequals were all just great. History in the making, truly one of the best Star War films Lucas has made. Nice finish to this 30 year old story, it has been great and breath taking. Science Fiction films will never be the same and Star Wars has set the bar higher then any other films that have came out in the history of the world.
The ultimate movie!!George Lucas for president!
Awesome movie, GL didn`t do anything extra though, nothing but general grievious, who was amazing, any way, i knew what was supposed to happen, and who will and who wont die, cuz well the old meovies tell u that, it is a very enteraining movie from beginning to start, please don`t see this movie unless u seen the others, anyway i would say a "must see", but i say "have to see". jedi battles were great, yoda and sidious it`s fun watching even if it was badly done(fight wise), cuz it`s the best at there best, go me, 4 Stars ****...good tie in with the other movies
Cant we have a few more star wars movies??
well played lucas, well played
Probably the best of the three prequels. I went in with pretty low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised!
awesome!
I cannot believe the comments that have been posted for this horrible, horrible movie. Everything about Episode 3 was so painful to watch - especially Haden. I was VERY disappointed in the whole cast and especially George Lucas` directing. I expected a lot more. People DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith is one of the most awsome movies I have ever seen. It`s got action, romance, suspense, and it kept me excited the whole way through. Awsome audio, stunning visual. And all around good movie!
go with low expectations and you`ll love it
I can`t believe it......Anikan Skywalker is actually Darth Vader!!!! I never sawe that one coming!!!
Easier to follow than the first 2 episodes b/c it focused on the important characters
out of the new episodes of Star wars three was by far the best, Hayden shines as an evil sith Lord! hope this inspires George Lucas to make episodes 7,8,and 9
This was the best movie out of all the new and old ones!! i heard that there was a boring middle of the movie but there isnt! its all awesome!!!! go see it!!! i would pay to see it in theatres again its that GOOD
It was the first time in 28 years that I walked out of a Star Wars movie and people were laughing, saying how bad the acting and story was in the episode. George Lucas could have done so much more with the movie, but like all Jedis, he is affraid of the dark side, or at least being saddled with an R rating, where kiddies who buy the merchandise and support Lucas Studios in all of their venturs.
1. Empire Strikes Back Very well done. Takes well-deserved 2. Return of the Jedi third overall of series.Ewan McGregor 3. Revenge of the Sith puts on excellent performance.Portman 4. A New Hope and Christensen have very wooden 5. Attack of the Clones performances, that`s cuz of the bad 6. Phantom Menace dialogue they`re forced into. 8/10
very very very good, can`y wait to add it to the collection
Overall I thought the Movie was excellent. That being said, the Padme/Anakin scenes are overemphasized and underacted. Natalie Portman is capable of much more. She appeared rather stiff in her scenes with Anakin. Some of the CG/Composite shots could have been better. Obi-Wan holding the infant Luke was quite obviously not real. Also, just before Obi-Wan tosses away a blaster there is some flutter (may have been only at the theatre I watched it).
my favorite star wars movie ever. the lightsaber battles were insane and very intense. the last show of the double moons on tatooine was MONEY!!!
Awesome Awesome movie. Acting was taken to the next level by Ewan McGregor! Can anyone win an oscar for being in a Star Wars film?? This movie is a must see!
If you watch Episodes I-III back-to-back-to-back, everything makes complete sense and is spectacular! Can`t wait to watch all 6 films consecutively (over a series of days, of course). :)
Average for Star Wars. Acting well still lacking
Amazing movie...if you have followed all the episodes, the answers your questions are in this one! Bravo George Lucas! xo
Revenge of the Sith is a stronger film than Return of the Jedi and will always be thought of as the best Episode out of the Prequel trilogy.
awesome movie i love it!
starwars episode 3 was sos so so awesome i hope that one day they will continue on with like a 7, 8, and 9 that would be great.
Completes the hole in the series that we`ve all been missing.
Too much techno razzle/dazzle and not like the original Star Wars which really delved into the feelings of the characters.
great movie the best of the 2!!!
It was a very satisfying end. So sad, but of course we all knew what was coming. The emperor was deliciously evil; very well portrayed. Tied up loose ends and answered some lingering questions. I did expect to see a little bit more of Vader in "the suit", though and more of Chewbacca would have been nice. Overall a great movie, with fantastic action and effects (no surprise there)!
A great end to a fine saga -- Lucas has redeemed himself
Revenge of the Sith is just that, revenge on the part of Palpatine for the subjegation of the Sith. Anakin is the truly tragic figure beautifully portrayed by Hayden Christensen. I was truly moved by the pain and anguished that Anakin went through trying to decide what he should do. The final duel between him and Obi-Wan is as brilliant as it is painful. Both suffer from fallen ideals and the need to protect the galaxy, creating an element of pride and dispair that the life they knew is over. This movie is more then just the end of a sage, it also reveals the depths that love and pain can go in any individual.
Absolutely satifying. In every way shape and form. George`s vision is to be extolled.
Was kinda boring most of the way.. Natalie portman did a weak acting job. This movie had so much more potential...
ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT!!! The film carries the same haunting ghost that plauged the "Empire strikes back" in an emotional ride of good storytelling. The Revenge of the sith comes in mega close to this materpeice. It is one to be remembered. Check it out!!!
It was awesome! It was only missing the ewoks, but other than that, I truly enjoyed it and will probably own it when it comes out on DVD
I thought the overal movie was great, but the acting up untill Anikan went to the dark side was not so great. I was surprised especially Ewen McGreger, who I think is a supreme actor, wasn`t even great. It was all very monitone.
On Par with Episode IV (Empire Strikes Back, not as good as Return of the Jedi, all in all 3rd best in the set
The best of the new trilogy by far!!! I really enoyed this movie however now that the saga is complete it is clear that the new trilogy lacks the charm and depth of character found in the original trilogy.
The campy acting may ruin the suture every two seconds (noooooooooooooooooooooooo!) but the visual links to episode iv were really good.
It was a good movie, but the transitions were crappy. Never use crappy transitions. It brings the production down, and it certainly did that with Episode III. There was also a bit of bad acting, but aside from that, it was good.
Go see it in the theatre. The special effects and action were amazing. The story line was as expected, good but not awesome. The dialogue was very cheesy but that`s George Lucas for you. You won`t be disappointed but don`t expect to be blown away either.
Enjoyed the movie overall, especially CGI/action scenes etc. Found too many good actors gave wooden performances, especially Anakins role.Good storyline, poor direction and dialogue! 3 stars out of 5. Gram
