A group of 456 individuals, each struggling and desperate due to the heavy amount of debt they owe, are invited to play a series of children's games for the chance to win $45.6 billion. The catch is that with each game, the penalty for losing is death.
In the second season, a new chapter unfolds as Gi-hun comes back with an agenda, having given up on leaving for the United States.
The third and final season follows Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) after losing his best friend in the game and being driven to utter despair by The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game. Gi-hun persists with his goal to put an end to the game, while the Front Man continues onto his next move and the surviving players' choices will lead to graver consequences with each round.
