Audrey (Alicia Silverstone), an architect who's about to turn 40, and her husband Ethan (Tom Everett Scott) travel to Long Island for the wedding of Audrey’s younger brother Liam (Jake Hoffman) to his French fiancée, Clemence (Mathilde Ollivier).
During dinner that night, things turn sour when Audrey finds out that Liam has given Clemence their late mother’s wedding ring. Not only that, but he's planning to tear down the old family home and build a new home on the site, and Audrey's ex-boyfriend has been hired as the architect. Audrey isn't pleased that she wasn't consulted on any of this, and turns the weekend into a battleground with Clemence as her victim.
