James Murphy, the frontman for the group LCD Soundsystem, decided to disband the celebrated band despite being at the peak of their popularity, to ensure the band would go out on top. On April 2, 2011, LCD Soundsystem played its final, biggest and most ambitious concert of its career at Madison Square Garden.
New York magazine called the event "a marvel of pure craft," while Time magazine said, "we may never dance again." This once-in-a-lifetime performance is documented alongside an intimate portrait of Murphy prior to the show, the day after, and shows the personal and professional ramifications of his decision.
